Sunday in Lakeshore

Just talked with Randy after a long day in Lakeshore. Some of the team took an early trip down to the gulf this morning. There is still alot of devastation an just foundations where building have been. The one consistent thing is the casino, open amongst the devastation. Most appreciate their home in the mountains after a few days in the hot, humid, marshy area.
After breakfast they went to church and said Pastor Don delivered a good message and also made the announcement today, 3 years after Katrina, that they will begin working on a new church and will it be built on the site where the mobile kitchen had been.
This afternoon the team went back over to work on the house and were able to place about half the floor joists and are hoping to finish that up tomorrow and get the decking down.
As I talked with Randy you could hear the sounds of laughter in the background. He said everyone is tired but having a great time together. Let's pray that all goes well this week and as much progress can be made as is possible. Pray that the team continues to remain healthy and strong and that they are given open opportunities to reach out and show God's love. They say to thank all of you for your prayers and support.
