WABI-SABI CHRISTMAS

The Wabi-Sabi girls joined with God's Helping hands this year for our annual Christmas gathering. This is one of the highlights of the year. We have our annual gift exchange and more food than we can eat. We have time to just have fun and be a kid again. This year we had a beautiful location and the bond within the group was greater this year than ever before.
Even though right before Christmas our group had experienced some struggles that threatened to break the group but instead it bonded the group more than ever. There was no question who was part of the family and who was not. We were all free to be and it was wonderful to be together in such a way. This night was all about the love of Jesus and thanking God for His birth and how He had used all of us to show the love of Jesus to a hurting family and supported them in a very trying time. This group truly is united in Spirit and Truth and trying to be His hands and feet to a darkened world. As you look over these photos I pray they bring you a smile and fill you with joy.
Jerry and Alice Marks and Ray Freeman talk while Maggie enjoys the IPOD.

Ken and Wanda Stevens share a seat. Ken looks pretty comfortable!

One of the many beautiful trees!

Our oldest guest was Nellie Poff, Jackie's mother, who is 86 years young.
"I can't remember when I've enjoyed anything more". Here she is with (l) Sammie Ball and (R) Wanda Musick. There was alot of laughter coming from this area throughout the night!

Everyone looks on as Kathi opens her gift. The men are on the lookout for the toolbelt!

Teddy Summit and Mary Jane Taylor greet our guest and long time friend, Rosa Montgomery.

This wild bunch is at it again! What fun!!

Carole Meade calls out the numbers for the gifts. "Who is number......?"

The Lloyd family work on strategy to go home with a manly gift.

It's your turn Miss Hannah!

Kathi works her way through the men, Chris (her husband), Larry Meade and Charlie Coe.

Lydia McKenna poses with her wonderful gift, a quart of motor oil. Notice Cody is enjoying it as he is the one who put in the oil. It was so funny that the "fashionista" got the motor oil. Just to let you know she did NOT end up with it. It went to a man! Thank goodness!

Bob Turner, Hammond Hunt and Bill Coalson enjoy some kitchen conversation.

Melissa Turner, "Oh, look what I got"!

Chuck peeking through the banisters.
It was just a wonderful blessed evening! God is so good. The schemes of the devil never prosper but brings good to those who love Him and are called for His purpose.
Merry, Merry Christmas 2008!!!
